Speaker Information:  Jessica Brice, CPA, Tax Manager at LBMC, PC

Jessica received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance from Indiana University in 2006, and her CPA certification shortly thereafter. She joined LBMC in 2015 after spending the majority of her career in public accounting serving clients in a variety of industries. Her experience also includes a three-year period working in corporate operations for a national retailer.

Jessica’s areas of focus include tax compliance and consulting, and she enjoys serving clients in every aspect — whether it is a simple question or navigating a complex transaction.

When she isn’t working on tax returns, Jessica enjoys being outdoors, traveling with her husband, running, and always cheering on her beloved Hoosiers.

Presentation Description: Selecting the Right Entity for your Business

While it’s true that there isn’t one best type of business entity, there is probably a best option for your business depending on your objectives, both at the present and looking into the future.  Weighing the different options can be overwhelming, and knowing how to get started can be a daunting task.

This presentation will provide an overview of the different entity options for small businesses, covering topics such as the ease of start-up and ongoing administration, asset protection provided, and tax implications to the owner or owners.
