About our Facilitator: Dr. Shannon Jennings of Syncovate; South Bend, IN.
Shannon S. Jennings, PsyD, LMHC. Dr. Jennings received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, master’s degree from Bethel College, and Doctorate in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a specialization in organizational consulting.
While earning her master’s degree, Dr. Jennings worked with local leaders to launch Child Advocate in Divorce (CAID) and played a key role in implementing the new program—including developing operational systems and processes. As a workshop presenter she collaborated with Dr. Sheehan to build an innovative, research-based curriculum for parents in the family court system. Both Dr. Sheehan and Dr. Jennings continue to present and evolve the highly rated workshop.
After earning her license in mental health counseling, Dr. Jennings joined a private practice and began specializing in families in conflict, behavioral systems, and self-esteem development. Following her doctoral degree in business psychology, the practice has expanded to include work related performance issues and stress management.
Dr. Jennings joined the Edward Lowe Foundation in 2007 as program services manager, developing and facilitating learning programs for leaders. It was at the foundation that she began connecting the skills and resources of psychology with the needs of growing organizations.
As a facilitator, Dr. Jennings has spent hundreds of hours working with leaders of successful businesses and organizations, listening to their challenges and gaining greater insight into the things that keep leaders “up at night” as well as the driving passions that get leaders “out of bed in the morning.” As a performance coach, Dr. Jennings combines this entrepreneurial exposure with a deep understanding of the helping relationship to provide a coaching experience that creates new understanding, increases engagement, and enhances performance.
Dr. Jennings is a passionate advocate for the entrepreneurial spirit and human capital development. As an expert in the challenges facing growth oriented firms, she recognizes that the skills and behaviors that help an early stage business excel can be the same behaviors that create a bottleneck and stunt growth as the organization matures and changes to meet the shifting needs of both internal and external customers. She thrives on helping owners and key leaders grow with their firms, creating value for stakeholders developing a culture of teamwork and innovation.
